Forgo

Frequently asked questions

The short answers. Anything else, email hello@forgoapp.com — it comes straight to me.

Is my bank data safe?

Yes. Forgo connects through Plaid, the same secure service used by major finance apps. Your bank login goes directly to Plaid and is never seen or stored by Forgo. Your data lives on secured infrastructure, and you can lock the app behind Face ID. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Is Forgo free?

Yes — you can download Forgo, connect your accounts, and start getting nudges for free. I'm still figuring out pricing for the future — and early users will be able to lock in lifetime pricing if and when I start charging.

How is this different from Rocket Money or Copilot?

Those are trackers — they show you what you already spent, after the fact. Forgo works before the purchase: it watches the specific merchants you overspend at and nudges you the moment you're pacing over your target, while there's still time to change course. It's not another dashboard to check — it reaches out to you.

What if I don't have debt?

Forgo isn't a debt app. It works whether you're paying off a card, building an emergency fund, or just trying to stop leaking money at Amazon and Uber Eats. You set the goal; Forgo helps you stay on it.

Which banks work?

Most US banks and cards, through Plaid. If you can find your bank in Plaid's list, Forgo can connect to it.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete account — it permanently removes your account and all associated data right away. More detail on the Support page.
